Bobby Ocean has become one of San Francisco's best known Disk Jockeys over the past

30+ years. Here he is early in his career when he was known as Johnny Scott. KYNO Fresno did not sound like typical small/medium market radio. It was used as the training ground by Bill Drake (the legendary mastermind of Boss Radio KHJ in Los Angeles) - if you made it in Fresno, you'd move up to KFRC San Francisco, KHJ Los Angeles or one of Drake's other stations. The "Boss Radio" format was executed perfectly by one of radio's true professionals
